
Welcome to this self-directed course exploring Project Based Learning (PBL). This web-based course will highlight the evidence-based framework for PBL, and will also include implementation strategies and technology tools that can help support PBL in the classroom. This course is broken into the sections Learn, Plan, Do, and BC Examples. The first section, LEARN, will provide you with an overview of the PBL framework. The second section, PLAN, will provide ideas and resources collected from BC classrooms that are intended to inspire and support your planning process. The third section, DO, provides technology tutorials and supporting documents that will help you implement the suggested digital tools. Lastly, the section BC EXAMPLES, will provide samples of PBL from various classrooms across the province to show how the various components come together to support student learning.
Each section is broken into modules that focus on specific aspects of PBL. The modules are:
- Module 1: PBL and Inclusion
- Module 2: Student Learning Goals
- Module 3: Project Design
- Module 4: Public Product
This course can be explored by section, module, or specific resources that will support your use of PBL in the classroom.
