The Sets were created by Barb Lark as part of a larger group of resources for educators in the Comprehensive Literacy for All Book Collection. This Book Collection includes learning activities for individuals developing early literacy skills, regardless of their age. Activities focus on reading, writing, alphabet knowledge and phonemic awareness to provide meaningful literacy experiences.
Before and After Feelings: In this Connect Set students can write sentences about Pigeon’s feelings before and after his Roller Coaster ride.
Sound Effects Word Bank: Students can re-create the sound effects from the Roller Coaster book or use a keyboard to make their own.
Roller Coaster Feelings Match: Students match picture representations of feelings with the words.
