About This Resource

This collection of Clicker sets is related to the book P is for Pterodactyl: The Worst Alphabet Book Ever by Raj Haldar and Chris Carpenter. The sets were created by Barb Lark as part of a larger group of resources for educators in the Comprehensive Literacy for All Book Collection. This Book Collection includes learning activities for individuals developing early literacy skills, regardless of their age. Activities focus on reading, writing, alphabet knowledge and phonemic awareness to provide meaningful literacy experiences.

P is for Pterodactyl Sentences: Students use this grid set to write sentences using whole words. The sentences explain how the words don’t follow spelling rules.

P is for Pterodactyl Adapted Book: Created from the “P is for Pterodactyl Sentences” set, this book is an adaptation of the original book. Students can listen and read along with this talking book.

Misbehaving Words Match Set: Some of the target words from the book are included in this matching set. Students can match text to text + pictures.
