About This Resource

This collection of Clicker Sets is related to the book We Are Grateful: Otsaliheliga by Traci Sorell. The Sets were created by Barb Lark as part of a larger group of resources for educators in the Comprehensive Literacy for All Book Collection. This Book Collection includes learning activities for individuals developing early literacy skills, regardless of their age. Activities focus on reading, writing, alphabet knowledge and phonemic awareness to provide meaningful literacy experiences.

Grateful Word Bank – Includes two sets of words that indicate what Cherokee and non-Cherokee people might be grateful for. Can be used with the “I Am Grateful For” sentence starter set.

I Am Grateful for… Sentence Starter – To be used with the Grateful Word Bank or other means of typing or dictation.

I Am Grateful for… Scaffold Writing – Students use words and phrases to write what they are thankful for, selecting between various nouns and various verbs.

Cherokee Words from I Am Grateful – This set includes word translations and pronunciations from English to Cherokee
