About This Resource
This collection of Clicker Sets is related to the book The Word Collector by Peter Reynolds. The Sets were created by Tania Johnston as part of a larger group of resources for educators in the Comprehensive Literacy for All Book Collection. This Book Collection includes learning activities for individuals developing early literacy skills, regardless of their age. Activities focus on reading, writing, alphabet knowledge and phonemic awareness to provide meaningful literacy experiences.
The Word Collector – I Want to Collect: Students write sentences using whole words with this sentence starter set. Generic kid pictures can be replaced by pictures of your students. Teachers can vary the levels of scaffolding to support student success.
The Word Collector – Word Collection: Individual students or an entire classroom can use this board to document words they would like in their collection.
The Word Collector – Syllables: Students can record speech or tapping out syllables using this Talk set.
