About this Resource
Grade 1. This is a collection of 15 gridsets for practising spelling. Students are provided with a variety of accessible primary spelling activities. Each gridset focuses on words starting with a different consonant. The gridsets are based on the format in "Practise Your Spelling Skills" by John Rose. Download one consonant at a time or a folder with all consonant activities. These activities support the BC Ministry of Education PLO for Grade 1 English Language Arts: knowledge of consonant and short vowel sounds to spell phonically regular one-syllable words.
