About This Resource
This collection of Clicker Sets is related to the book I See a Kookaburra! by Steve Jenkins. The Sets were created by Barb Lark as part of a larger group of resources for educators in the Comprehensive Literacy for All Book Collection. This Book Collection includes learning activities for individuals developing early literacy skills, regardless of their age. Activities focus on reading, writing, alphabet knowledge and phonemic awareness to provide meaningful literacy experiences.
Animal Habitat Book: Students can read an adapted digital book with simplified text.
Animal Habitat Simple Sentences: Students write sentences using whole words/phrases. Teachers can vary the levels of scaffolding to support student success.
Animals in Habitats Connect Set: Students choose from clusters of words or phrases to create unique sentences.
Animal Matching: Review the vocabulary on the opening page. Then students can match words to words + pictures. Students can try each option and the word set will advance when the correct option is selected. In the Edit mode, teachers can modify the set to allow word to word or picture to picture and word matching, to support student success.
