About this Resource
Grade 3 through high school. This novel studies activity is for the student who is learning about characters and setting. There is one picture on each of the pages. The student looks at the picture and then writes a name for the setting and lists 1 – 3 characters that might be found in this setting. Students are encouraged to think out of the box and add characters that are not human, i.e. robots, aliens or animals. Students can choose to record their ideas using the pop-up recorder. This activity supports the BC Ministry of Education PLOs for grade 3-4 Literacy Foundations: Thinking(Writing) and Purposes(Writing). Created by Maureen Lafleche
