About Me

Alanna enjoys sharing her passion for educational technology with teachers and students across the province. She believes every student has unique abilities and gifts, and loves discovering how to leverage these strengths using technology. Prior to working at SET-BC Alanna explored the corporate world as an Academic Operations Manager and Instructional Designer at an EdTech Startup in Toronto. Before completing her Masters in Educational Psychology, Technology in Education Specialization at the University of Alberta she taught in Edmonton, AB at a bilingual elementary school. Alanna believes that it is important to inspire and connect with students and by showing a genuine interest in them, we can have a profound effect on their education and growth.

My Interests

I’m from Alberta and enjoying life in Vancouver now, especially exploring all of the beautiful sights the province has to offer. I love to travel and have been lucky enough to have explored many places across North and South America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. I also enjoy baking and cooking and love the challenge of creating new recipes and making anything and everything from scratch.
