About this Resource

Grade 10, 11, 12: This project includes a variety of activities to learn about WHMIS symbols and their meaning. The Vocabulary activity provides the symbol, its name and a basic definition. The Matching Game provides a label to be matched with the symbol. The Questions activity provides multiple choice questions (4 options). Finally the Wordbank activity provides a bank of symbols and their corresponding words so the student can independently write what each symbol means. This project supports the BC Ministry of Education Prescribed Learning Outcomes for Grade 10-12 Skills Exploration: teaching industry-specific safety standards and procedures. Created by Kathy Ryan.
