Stargirl Character Traits

Grade 6, grade 7, grade 8, grade 9, grade 10. These Clicker Grid Sets are designed to enable students to analyze and identify character traits in writing. They also become more familiar with extended vocabulary related to character traits. Students read a short piece of text and identify the implied character trait from a pop-up grid. Click on the text to open a pop-up. The name of the character and the character traits will be sent to Clicker Writer. The second-last grid extends these character traits to sentence building. The last grid allows students to relate character traits to their own experience using recording features. This activity has been adapted from the LearningGrids activity, "Character Traits," and is intended to provide support activities for students studying the novel, "Stargirl" written by Jerry Spinelli.
