About this Resource
Grade 1 and students with emergent reading skills. In this activity, the student uses a spinner to select a picture to match a printed word. There are 8 word-pictures matches to a page and the pages are organized by category. Frequent vocabulary has been chosen from the following categories: fruit, clothing, people, vehicles, animals. There is auditory feedback on the spinner and when the word is selected accuracy can be attained. Created by Kathy Ryan
