About this Resource
This Clicker Grid Set is designed to enable students to build sentences about Halloween.
Each page shows a model sentence about school that can then be constructed using the words underneath.
The activity is based on the In the Park Sentences activity from Learning Grids.Com
This activity supports the BC Prescribed Learning Outcomes for English Language Arts( Writing and Representing Purposes) Grade 1: -create staight forward personal writing and representations that express simple ideas, feelings, likes, and dislikes, featuring
– ideas represented through words, sentences, and images that connect to a topic
– developing sentence fluency by using simple sentences that relate to each other
– developing word choice by attempting to use descriptive words and interesting details
– developing voice by showing some evidence of individuality
