About this Resource

Grade 1. This Clicker Grid Set is a unit of activities with a Halloween costume theme. It is designed to support students who are learning about Halloween, counting to 10, beginning reading, beginning writing(with forced order). Vocabulary introduced: alien, devil, ghost, mummy, pumpkin, reaper, vampire, witch, skeleton and pirate. These activities support the BC Ministry of Education Prescribed Learning Outcomes for Grade 1 Reading and Viewing: read and reread just-right texts independently for 10 to 15 minutes daily for enjoyment and to improve fluency and comprehension; Grade 1 Mathematics/Number: recognize, at a glance, and name familiar arrangements of 1 to 10 objects or dots.
