Grade 1. In this project, students can explore place value by graphing it. A number can be written in the textbox at the top of the page. Then the student can write the appropriate number at the top of each of the 1000’s, 100’s, 10’s and 1’s column and then use the bar graph to depict the number. This activity supports the BC Ministry of Education PLO for Grade 1 Literacy Foundations Mathematics/Number: demonstrate an understanding of place value for whole numbers to 1000.
