About this Resource
Grades K-9: Here are 3 activities based on the Say Something Strategy: Say Something: Caterpillar (a sample using the poem, Caterpillar, by Christina Rossetti), Say Something: The Eagle (a sample using the poem, The Eagle, by Alfred, Lord Tennyson) and Say Something Strategy Template (a blank for you to add your own picture and poem). The Say Something Strategy is introduced by Faye Brownlie in "Grand Conversations, Thoughtful Responses," and it is a key component of Faye’s approach to Literature Circles.
