About this Resource

This Clicker Connect file is to be used as part of a friendship unit. After brainstorming and discussing what friends are and are not, students will complete sentences with speech support to reflect understanding of concepts around being a friend. Use of auditory preview in app to choose sentence starter that is correct for word choice in sentence about friends and then apply concepts to themselves as a friend. Recommendation: complete as a group and then students can be responsible for creating a set number of sentences that they then share with someone by re-reading orally or using computer speech. Target Audience is K-2. Content Reference from the new curriculum: 1. Use personal experience and knowledge to connect to text and make meaning, and 2. Begin to recognize basic structures and organization of text. Curricular competency (facet) = Building Relationships.
