This resource is best when used with “Keys to Developing Switching Skills,” a resource developed by Indigo formerly known as the Independent Living Centre WA (ILC WA) that can also be found indirectly under the Indigo website’s Resources tab under the Unlocking Abilities link.

The objective of this resource is to match the ‘Games & Activities’ found on the HelpKidzLearn website, to a particular switch skill. This will assist in the selection of appropriate activities to support an individual in learning how to use one and/or two switches. It’s important to select an appropriate challenge for your student’s current abilities. Remember to choose the activity that is the best match for your student’s sensory strengths (level of complexity, contrast, auditory feedback, etc) and current switch skills (e.g. cause-and-effect single switch before cause-and-effect single switch with timing).
