Developing Switch Skills with HelpKidzLearn

This resource is best when used with the Keys to Developing Switch Skills, a resource developed by the Independent Living Centre WA (ILC WA). The flowchart that the ILC WA uses is based on the work of Ian Bean, and the Switch Skills Progression Road Map (published by Inclusive Technology in 2011), as well as Linda Burkhart’s 2012 publication Stepping Stones to Switch Access (Two Switch Step Scanning).
The objective of this resource is to match the ‘Games & Activities’ found on the HelpKidzLearn website, to a particular switch skill. This will assist in the selection of appropriate activities to progress an individual in learning how to use one and/or two switches.
