About this Resource
This Boardmaker Studio activity teaches the sounds of letters of the alphabet and uses items of interest to girls pictures and words. This activity supports the BC Ministry of Education Learning Outcome for English Language Arts/Grade 1/Reading and Viewing: recognize and fluently identify all alphabetic letters and their associated sounds, and recognize word patterns and some high-frequency words.
