About Me

I started my teaching career as a Grade 6 teacher at McKim Middle School in Kimberley, BC. I taught middle school and elementary school until I joined SET-BC as the Kootenay regional consultant in 1999. After five years serving the six districts in the beautiful Kootenay area of our province, I moved to the Lower Mainland and consulted on the North Shore. I joined the SET-BC Provincial Team as the eLearning / Special Projects team leader and then moved into the role of SET-BC Provincial Coordinator in 2010.

My Interests

I am really interested in helping teams use technology with students in new and creative ways without letting the technology overshadow what is being taught (or learned!). I have always enjoyed developing curriculum and wish I had access to today’s technologies when I was teaching at the middle school – oh what fun we would have had! Now I enjoy visiting classrooms and students and am always amazed at what students can do when engaged and supported with technology.
