We are excited to introduce this new kit to SETdirect! Students will love exploring basic coding skills through programing robot mice to navigate mazes in search of cheese. In partnership with PRCVI, resources for students with visually impairments have been created and can be signed out from their lending library (see resources section).
After hearing amazing stories of artful inclusion from districts last year, we have brought forward this SETdirect kit for 2017-2018. This kit brings out the creativity in everyone. Switch adapted art tools enable all students to use scissors, markers and paint to create unique works of art. This kit includes a switch activated spin-art device, a remote control felt-pen holder, switch-activated battery-powered scissors, and a GoTalk 4+ speech generative device.
The SETdirect class leader’s kit allows everyone to teach, learn and do. The switch activated spinner and communication device enable any student to lead a BINGO themed learning activity. This kit is designed to support game-based learning as well as a variety of other classroom activities.
New for 2017-2018, the Science Kit brings accessibility to examining the microscopic world. The digital microscope, and large high definition monitor combine to give all students access to the excitement of observing magnified items (up to 220x!). We have included 48 sample slides for viewing a variety of items across a number of content areas. The Go Talk 9+ can be programmed with appropriate vocabulary for activities pertaining to exploring with the microscope.
Repeated from last year, with this popular SETdirect kit, the whole class can make delicious snacks and drinks. Includes a switch activated power supply (Powerlink 4), an Oster 8 speed blender, and a wired Jelly Bean switch.
From the makers of Box-Cars and One Eyed Jacks, this kit and its included resources, capitalizes on the fun of cards and dice to teach and reinforce math concepts. The jumbo foam dice and the oversized playing cards help make activities that are challenging for those with fine-motor difficulties, become not only more accessible, but fun and engaging for all.
Updated from last year’s Photo Op kit, this kit makes use of a switch accessible camera mounted on a flexible clamp-mount, allowing aspiring photographers to capture the world around them from their perspective. Once printed, students can share their photos, with narration, in the talking photo album book.
This beginners coding kit includes the award-winning, and beautiful Cubetto robot, with tangible coding blocks. Screenless coding demystifies the process of programming, and allows for a visual and tactile coding experience. The included Go Talk 9+ can be programmed with commands corresponding to the coding blocks, making this kit accessible to all students.
Our most popular kit from last year, these classic children’s board games are fun and easy to use. The adapted dice roller, oversized foam dice, and Step-by-Step speech generating device will help all learners to participate in the games included games and activities.
