About Timmy Technology
Timmy travels with a video/still camera, accessible books, switch activated toys and ideas for fun activities and resources. He will travel by courier to your classroom.
Timmy is a soft, cuddly stuffed mascot that is intended to give SET-BC students a friend to introduce to their school, friends, family and community.
He would love for your student to show him the sights and take pictures of him visiting their favourite places. At school students can write stories and draw pictures about their time together.
The idea for Timmy Technology came about when SET-BC student, Rebecca, entered a Virtual Voices Village mascot design contest and submitted the winning design.
Timmy moved from design to reality through the deft hands of SET-BC consultants.

Booking Timmy
Timmy can be booked for a 2-week visit to any SET-BC student enrolled in a school in British Columbia. Timmy and resources will be shipped to your school along with instructions on how to return him to SET-BC. Timmy travels with a digital camera for student use. A variety of books and switch adapted toys can also be requested to be shipped with Timmy. To book Timmy, please follow these 3 steps.
- Go to the SET-BC Events calendar to find available dates.
- Click on a desired date in the calendar to open an email link to book Timmy, or
- Email Timmy at ttechnology@setbc.org with your booking request (Please view the SET-BC Events calendar to make certain the dates you are requesting are available.)
- You will receive notification that your booking has been accepted. At this time, you will be emailed a checklist to request additional items to ship with Timmy.
Activities with Timmy
Activities are currently being developed and will be added to the menu. For now, Timmy invites you to play a game of switch curling!
