Matt: Dragon Master
Matt is one of the first SET-BC students to successfully use Dragon Naturally Speaking, to complete high school. Supported by SET-BC since grade 8, he tried many technologies to help him meet the challenges of blindness and quadriplegia.
Bryce: Clicks With His Computer
Bryce, a grade 7 student with Down syndrome, has been using SET-BC technology since 2008. Bryce and his school team have grown together, learning new concepts and skills.
Sarah: Maximum Use from a Mini Laptop

Terron: The Ad-Vantage of Writing
Oral and written communication skill challenges can severely impact a person's life. For Terron, a non-verbal teenager with cerebral palsy, however, the Vantage Plus has been an excellent solution which he has utilized to overcome many of the challenges with which he is faced.
Clayton: A Tech Savvy Teen
Technology has had a huge impact on the life of Clayton. Despite the physical challenges this 16 year old faces as the result of Cerebral Palsy, he has learned to use a laptop with Kurzweil 3000, Dragon Naturally Speaking and Scientific Notebook to allow him to take an academic course load towards his Dogwood Certificate.

I have six special education students, grades 8-12, who are all benefitting from the use of Classroom Suite, Clicker, and Kurzweil. I was introduced to these programs at the beginning of the school year when one of my students received a SET BC laptop.
Ilyaz: Navigates with Confidence
Ilyaz has come a long way since he started his high school career. Having started his technical journey with a computer that he found too complex to navigate, and a love of speech output that interfered with his work, this young man was challenged by autism, blindness and his technology.
Diana: A Successful Grade 1 Student
Diana is a bright academic student who uses her technology to participate and actively pursue her learning. Diana came to kindergarten 2 years after a car accident severed her spinal cord and left her with only the ability to do limited facial movement.
Chazz: Flips for his Acrobat
Chazz is a student with visual impairment attending school on the North Shore. He is currently in Grade 11. Chazz has Stargardt’s disease which affects his central vision but his peripheral vision is relatively good. He has difficulty seeing things at a distance.
Lisette: Dynamo with a Dynavox!
Lisette is a very social 10-year-old girl attending Grade 4 on the North Shore. Starting from a very early age, her school team saw that she had a lot to say.
Meaghan Switches On Communication
Meaghan, a cheeky 13-year old in Grade 7, uses two switches to access her laptop and Speaking Dynamically Pro software to share her wonderful personality with everyone around her.
