Date I joined SET-BC
January 3, 1995
I started my education career as a VSB Special Education Assistant in 1985 at Sunny Hill Hospital in Vancouver. After 4 years as an SEA supporting integration in Vancouver I became a Special Education and computer teacher in 1989 at Simon Fraser Elementary. In 1993 I moved to SET-BC. At SET-BC I’ve been an Assistive Technology Consultant for K-12 students, worked with disabled adults in post-secondary and employment situations and been the Provincial Training consultant coordinating training throughout the province. It has been a great ride!
I have always been interested in how assistive technology can support students with challenges in the classroom and the world in general. I am a problem solver by nature and enjoy working with teams to come up with solutions that benefit their student. I enjoy learning about new technologies and sharing that knowledge.
