My Contact Information
With a background in music education and education policy, I’ve recently joined the team at SET-BC. I’ve previously held positions teaching music in Vancouver, Coquitlam, and West Vancouver. Over the past two years I served as a Curriculum Coordinator at the Ministry of Education where I was responsible for Arts Education curriculum, Applied Design, Skills, and Technologies curriculum, and the development of a provincial Music Education Strategy. I am the recipient of a JUNO award as the 2013 MusiCounts teacher of the year, was a 2015 Global Teacher Prize finalist, and enjoy serving as a TeachSDGs Ambassador. I am thankful to the Musqueam, Tsleil-waututh, and Coast Salish peoples on whose traditional territory I live and learn.
Professionally-speaking, I am passionate about education policy and its influence on inclusive practice. I am interested in furthering the role of technology in facilitating inclusive arts education and on learning that cultivates youth leadership, nurtures healthy community relationships, and champions global citizenship education.
