About Me
My name is Lorena and I am a SET-BC Tier 3 consultant. Prior to joining SET-BC, I taught Spanish, French, and was a teacher librarian. In my 20 years as an educator, I have also been part of various educational teams throughout BC, Cuba, and Peru. I was also the Learning and Innovation Coordinator at a previous school in the New Westminster School District, specializing in Appreciative Inquiry. Additionally, I am an online instructor at UBC in the Library Education program. I have a lifelong curiosity about how to leverage technology in order to provide all students with the highest quality of education possible.
My Interests
I practice a variety of mountain sports, which I enjoy with friends and family. When not outside, my hobbies are reading non-fiction, music, meeting new people, and Film Noir.
