September 15, 2016
I moved to BC from Ontario in 2011 after completing my undergraduate education and teaching degree and have been working in education in the lower mainland ever since. While teaching I became interested in learning more about the educational technology available to support both teachers and students. I decided to pursue a masters of Educational Technology through the University of British Columbia and move into a position that allows me to support teachers and students through their use of educational technology.
I am excited about getting technology into the hands of our teachers and students so that it can be used in a meaningful way. I believe in the effectiveness of Universal Design for Learning and Project Based Learning in the classroom and hope to explore these areas more. As a French Immersion teacher I am also interested in exploring how technology and its application can support immersion classes and language learners.
