Date I joined SET-BC
February 1, 2012
I started my teaching career in 1997 and like many new teachers, I was bumped around for a few years teaching in a variety of different classroom assignments from K-12. Some of my assignments in my early career included a grade 4 class for half a year and a stint at a secondary school teaching English and Fine Arts to grade 8-10 students. I became a District Resource Room teacher for elementary aged students with low incidence disabilities in 2001, a position which I enjoyed for 11 years before coming to SET-BC.
I am interested in supporting teams in their use of technology in the classroom and am continually amazed at what they can do when they have the right tools. I enjoy learning new things and I strive to remain current with advances in assistive technology. When not at work, I enjoy mountain biking, family time and friends.
