PSAP offers flexible online training that works with your schedule

Visit the Events Calendar to find a training session that meets your needs. All you need to participate is a web browser and Adobe flash Player which is already installed on most computers. Visit the PSAP website and view a tutorial on "Getting Started with Online Training".

2008 / 2009 Annual Report Now Available

SET-BC's annual report for 2008 / 2009 is now available on our website. This report highlights just a few of the countless success stories we've seen over the years, where students have used SET-BC technologies to overcome challenges and achieve their educational goals. We've also included details of our services and special projects, along with information on our program goals and outcomes including:

  • the provision of 744 new AT solutions and support for students
  • ongoing technical and implementation support for a further 2294 students
  • the development of effective curriculum resources for use in BC classrooms
  • collaboration with districts and other agencies in BC's AT community through joint projects
  • building district capacity through more than 1300 training sessions for more than 9300 participants

ARC-BC Contribute to Collection Project 2010 / 2011

The ARC-BC collection is growing daily as our production team creates alternate formats for requested and new titles. We need your help! As the number of requests increase, we need community members to join us in producing and improving alternate formats. We are inviting teams to apply to be one of ten groups around the province who will take part in the "Contribute to Collection" project. Teams who participate in this project will receive an alternate format station with computer hardware and software, at least two days of training, and ongoing support to help team members create and improve ARC-BC materials. If you are interested in participating in this project and getting your titles into the collection, please visit ARC-BC to download the information and application form.

Virtual Voices Village Reporters at the 2010 Games

Six SET-BC students, acting as Virtual Voices Village junior reporters, are a month away from their assignments at the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic games. They have been working with Encounters with Canada and 2010 Legacies Now to as they prepare to attend, conduct interviews and record happenings. Three reporters will cover the Olympics and 3 will cover Paralympics. Stay tuned to www.vvvillage.org as they file their stories.

SET-BC students Kate and Grace from the East Kootenays will also be at the Paralympic games with Students Live. Kate and Grace will participate in a range of media activities including filing articles, capturing videos and conducting interviews with young people before, during and after events. They will also participate in hosting an interactive website - Go Kate and Grace!

BC UDL Meeting and Resource Wiki

The BC UDL Project Team Leaders are meeting online weekly from January to May 2010 to learn more about UDL strategies. The meeting topics and resources from all of these meetings are being posted in the BC UDL Project Wiki. SET-BC is a Ministry of Education Provincial Resource Program. We assist school districts in British Columbia in meeting the technology needs of students with physical disabilities, visual impairments, and autism.
