SET-BC Welcomes Chris Marshall to Region 2 Team
Chris Marshall comes to us from Calgary where he was an Educational Coordinator for the Visually Impaired for the Reach program. He traveled throughout southern Alberta providing services for visually impaired students.
Timmy Travels with Bryce

BookSense XT Project
PRCVI and SET-BC is sponsoring the Book Sense XT Project to explore the capabilities of a portable audio reading solution for students with visual impairments and assess its usefulness in its support of independent access to print.
Canadian Vision Teachers Conference Awards
PRCVI is very proud to announce that at the Canadian Vision Teachers Conference, two very deserving BC teachers in the field of visual impairment received awards. Dr. Sally Rogow Professor Emerita UBC received the Canadian Distinquished Service Award and Harvinder Nahal received the Excellence in Teaching Award.

Timmy Technology Goes Travelling
Through the talents of Victoria animator Ken Leslie and his friends, Timmy Technology comes to life. SET-BC is pleased to host this animation of Timmy visiting a SET-BC student in a remote location. The 5-minute animation created with accessible materials includes a “beat-box” piece.

Jericho Hill Legacy Trust Scholarship Awards
On July 27th PRCVI was very pleased to host a reception to honour the recipients of the 2009 Jericho Hill Legacy Trust (JHLT) Scholarship Awards. The Scholarship Awards are presented annually to one or two BC students graduating from grade 12 who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and community service.
