Fred Poon, the well respected and loved Manager of the Provincial Resource Centre for the Visually Impaired (PRCVI), is retiring after dedicating 34 years to supporting the education of students with visual impairments and blindness in BC.
It seems fitting that Fred share his memories and thoughts from first coming to BC as a teacher at the Jericho School for the Blind to the establishment of the comprehensive resource centre that he has managed for the past 16 years. We extend our sincere gratitude to Fred for his many contributions to enhancing the support services for visually impaired students in BC and extend our warmest wishes for many years of joyful retirement.
