"Tell me something interesting about you!" could be heard around the BC Lions Easter Seals Camp Winfield on May 26th as twenty Cool Communicators from across the Okanagan gathered for a day of sharing, networking and camp exploration.
ARC-BC Contribute to Collection
This April, teams across the province are participating in the 2010-2011 ARC-BC Contribute to Collection project. This project is designed to help support districts interested in adding to or improving the ARC-BC collection of alternate formats
Smart Inclusion Workshop
On March 24th in Vancouver and on March 25th in Nanaimo SET-BC regional staff hosted Susie Blackstien-Adler of Bridges Canada as she presented her Smart Inclusion workshop to SET-BC, school and district staff.
Cortical Visual Impairment: Dr. Christine Roman-Lantzy
On March 4th & 5th, 2010, PRCVI hosted a workshop on Cortical Visual Impairment presented by Dr. Christine Roman-Lantzy. The event was a great success with participants from various backgrounds: BC Vision teachers, speech and language pathologists, deaf blind support teachers and parents.
TIP Update 2010
All 27 TIP teachers who selected assistive technology equipment for their classrooms in early November came to SET-BC for training on Jan. 11th. SET-BC would like to thank these teachers for giving their time and energy to this project.

Hail a Satellite - GPS the Future of Independent Travel
"Hail A Satellite" a workshop for high school students and adults with visual impairments and blindness and orientation and mobility instructors was hosted in Vancouver on October 22nd, 2009 by SET-BC, PRCVI and the Seeing Eye.
Dr. Penny Reed Presents at SET-BC AGM
SET-BC consultants from all over the province met September 15th and 16th for the SET-BC Annual General Meeting. Dr. Penny Reed kicked off the two days with an inspiring session on effective assistive technology training. Consultants also discussed strategies for supporting teams more effectively and made plans for a number of regional and provincial initiatives.
