SET-BC Access Roadshow
An Overview of Alternative Access Options

SET-BC presented an overview of the technology access options that are currently available for students with special needs. During this hands-on workshop, participants had the opportunity to learn about keyboard options, mouse alternatives, word prediction, and switch/scanning input methods. As participants explored the range of products, case studies were used to illustrate the process of matching student needs to technology features.

Presented in 8 B.C. sites during April and May, the full day workshop brought timely information to teachers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and speech language pathologists working with students who require adaptive access to read, write, and/or operate environmental controls for everything from computers to toys to tv's.
