SET-BC is pleased to announce the opening of
our new Online Learning Centre. This expansion of our website allows
us to offer "anytime,
anywhere" training options for people who want to learn more
about strategies and assistive technologies for students with special
learning needs. The SET-BC Learning Centre was developed with the support
of IBM Canada’s Pacific Development Centre.
The Learning Centre
has been designed with virtual buildings, each representing a main
area of content. You can find resources in our
vision, access, communication, or general topics buildings, or you
can search through our entire resource collection in the main library. |
|
Our new self-directed workshop modules provide
webcasts, slide presentations, narrated software demonstrations, tutorials,
and other informative resources.
You can visit our communication and general topics "classrooms" to
view current presentations on augmentative communication, Kurzweil 3000
and Co:Writer 4000. In the next few months, look for new modules on technology
for students with visual impairments, IntelliTalk ll, and guest presentations
on supporting students with visual impairments and autism.
As you start
to explore the wealth of resources in SET-BC’s Learning Centre,
you may want to follow the home page link to "Take the Tour" for
an overview of the organization and navigation of the site. To ensure
best results when viewing the site, make sure that your computer has
a current version of the Macromedia Flash plugin. |
