Description:	This set of four grids is designed for children to write a Valentine day poem. Four choices of difficulty are provided. In grid 1 clicking on cells in sequence produce the poem in a simple way. Grid 4 involves matching correct phrases from memory, and considering rhyme. This version includes using the correct number as a representation of the number word in the poem. This activity supports the Ministry of Education Learning Outcomes for English Language Arts (Writing & Representing) Kindergarten Grade 1: -create imaginative writing and representations, often modelled on those they have read, heard, or viewed, featuring – ideas represented through sentences and images that generally connect to a topic – developing sentence fluency by using simple sentences, dialogue, phrases, and poetic language – developing word choice by attempting to use new and descriptive words – developing voice by showing some evidence of individuality.
