A series of online informational meetings is scheduled during February for BC district teams interested in getting more information about SET-BC services for the 2015-2016 school year.
As SET-BC and BC school districts are preparing for our new service delivery model, we want to ensure that all district teams have the information needed to successfully transition and plan for services in the coming school year. District team members are invited to attend any or all of the following online meetings in February.
February 3, 2015 (8:30 a.m.) – A short overview of the new model (if needed) and a discussion of SET-BC’s transition plan for the existing SET-BC equipment on loan to the district. Questions about what districts need to consider to prepare for their first SET-BC District Service Request Planning Meeting will be addressed.
February 10, 2015 (8:30 a.m.) – A more detailed discussion of Tier 1 services. A general description of Tier 1 services, as well as examples and formats for this tier of service delivery will be highlighted in this session.
February 17, 2015 (8:30 a.m.) – A more detailed look at the two components of Tier 2 service – technology specific training for existing technologies in the district and screening/selection suggestions for Tier 2 classroom solutions will be presented.
February 24, 2015 (8:30 a.m.) – A look at the Tier 3 services, what screening process districts may continue, what type of students would benefit from Tier 3 services and what these services will look like in the new model.
These online sessions are open to any BC school district team members – please contact Kerry Randle at firstname.lastname@example.org to register and request online meeting information for whichever sessions you are interested in attending.
