SET-BC is pleased to present the second workshop in the Inclusion Series on building inclusive environments in the classrooms. The presentation will take place April 25th 2014 at 9 locations around the province.
Part II of the series will take place on April 25th and will feature Faye Brownlie. Faye, author of numerous teaching resources and a leader both locally as well as internationally in the field of inclusion and literacy, will be leading participants through ideas and methods on creating an inclusive and safe classroom. Specifically, Faye will be examining the roles of in-class support, the power of class reviews, performance-based reading assessments, UDL and Backwards Design.
Not in the Lower Mainland? We will be videoconferencing these sessions to sites in Coquitlam, Kamloops, Kimberley, Quesnel, Vancouver, Vernon, Prince George, Nanaimo and Victoria. These sessions will be recorded and archived for future reference on our site in our Learning Centre. Anyone across the province may register for these sessions at a location near you.
All sites are free for attendance. Refreshments and snacks are the responsibility of the participants. For the Vancouver site, refreshments and lunch will be provided at a cost of $25. To register and get information about specific locations, go to SET-BC’s online registration page, SETreg. For more information, contact Tak Yamada at firstname.lastname@example.org.
